Before your big day
How far in advance should we book our wedding DJ?
Popular wedding dates, especially Fridays and Saturdays, can book well in advance. Once your venue and date are confirmed, it is a good idea to check availability early. Your booking is secured once the agreed booking fee has been paid.
Can we give you a playlist?
Absolutely. I want the music to feel like your wedding, not a generic playlist. You can send me your must-plays, favourites and anything you definitely do not want played. For detailed music lists, I ask that they are sent around three weeks before the wedding.
Do you take requests on the night?
Yes. Guest requests are always welcome, provided they suit the atmosphere and are not on your do-not-play list. I will still use my judgement on the night to keep the dance floor moving.
What is the difference between a Full-Night DJ and an After-Band DJ?
A Full-Night booking means I look after the evening entertainment from your first dance through to the end of the night, normally for up to four hours. An After-Band booking is for up to two hours and begins once your band finishes.
What happens if the band runs late?
That is quite common at weddings. I will work with the band and venue to make the changeover as smooth as possible. The final finish time will still depend on the venue's permitted closing time.
Do you provide your own sound and lighting?
Yes. I provide professional DJ equipment, sound and lighting suited to the package you book. The Club packages include a larger lighting setup for couples who want more of a nightclub-style atmosphere later in the evening.
Can you provide music earlier in the day?
Yes. Reception and additional music options can be included depending on the package and venue requirements. Dinner music is normally handled through the venue's house system, although I can assist with setup or connection if needed.
Can we add saxophone or percussion?
Yes. DJ & Sax and DJ, Sax & Percussion options are available subject to musician availability. They work particularly well later in the evening when the party is building.
Are you insured?
Yes. I am fully insured and use professional equipment suitable for weddings, hotels and event venues.
How far do you travel?
I am based in Kilkenny and regularly perform throughout the South East and beyond. If your wedding is further away, just send me the venue and date and I can confirm availability and any travel requirements.
