Heather & John’s wedding at the Kilkenny River Court Hotel was one of those nights where the dance floor really came alive. They chose the Reception & Full Night Club package, which meant I was there for the reception before taking care of the full evening entertainment from the first dance right through to the final song. Before the wedding, Heather and John sent me a sample playlist, which gave me a really good sense of the music they enjoyed. From there, I was able to build the night around their tastes while still reading the room and keeping the music working for everyone. The crowd was a great mix of ages, so the music moved through plenty of different styles — rock, 70s and 80s favourites, a few waltzes and some classic Irish sing-alongs along the way. One of the standout moments came during “Rock the Boat”, when Heather and John took charge of the whole room and had everyone joining in. It was a brilliant moment and summed up the atmosphere of the night perfectly. The dance floor stayed busy throughout, and it was a fantastic wedding to be part of.
